JAIME CORREA VÉLEZ SAS is a consulting firm founded in July 9th 2007 at Cartagena de Indias, that specializes in architectural design, heritage conservation, and real estate appraisal. Our firm has strategic partners in Colombia, Spain, United States and China. In January 4th 2021 we founded JAIME CORREA VELEZ LLC, a new consultation entrepreneurship with Colombian talent at Hot Springs, Arkansas .


Architect Jaime Correa Vélez is an expert in Conservation and Restoration of Architectural Heritage. He has studies in University Teaching, as well as Innovation and Creation of Technology-based Enterprises. Correa Vélez has developed his work using tools such as CAD (Computer-aided Design) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applied to architecture and city planning. Since 2008 his studio implemented BIM (Building Information Modeling) increasing its accuracy as an aggregate value of his projects. He has participated in various design competitions both at the national and international levels, thereby gaining additional experience.


Since 1999, Correa Vélez has been a consultant in the field of restoration. He has worked as a faculty member for the School of Architecture at the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Cartagena between 2001 and 2012, optimizing and improving the quality of higher education. In 2007, he was nominated for the award “Architect of the Year” by the Colombian Society of Architects (SCA), an organization of which he was a board member between 2009 and 2012. On September 2020 he was appointed again as a board member until 2022. In 2017 he became a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and its scientific committees for Cultural Landscapes (ISCCL) and Fortifications (ICOFORT). On July 1st 2020 he was appointed as a voting member on behalf of ICOMOS Colombia at the International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes. Since January 29th 2021 he became an International Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
